Our industry tends to think if the site is flat, that a reduced mulch rate will be sufficient.  On disturbed soil sites Hydro Straw Hydraulic Mulch acts as the bandage to help heal the soil.  You wouldn’t put half of a bandage on to fix your son’s or daughter’s skinned knee would you?  Complete mulch coverage equals greater vegetation establishment.  

The illustration and article depicts an application rate of Hydro Straw of 1,000 lb. /acre and 3,500 lb. /acre.  Three times the mulch resulted in 3X the vegetation along with increased erosion control.
