A healthy soil is covered all year long. Soils natural cover is straw produced by the vegetation in which exists within each environment. The straw acts as an armor protecting it from the elements and provides a habitat for many living organism’s. These living organisms within the covered soil are a great indicator of a healthy soil. Whether the vegetation has provided the cover on an existing site or you are providing the new straw mulch cover on a disturbed site, it is important to completely cover the soil.
